Overview

Into the Sounds, Under the Stars: A South Island Journey

This journey runs the South Island end to end. It opens with four days in Queenstown: a Lord of the Rings jeep safari, the Routeburn Track, Central Otago pinot. A family-run small ship carries everyone overnight into Doubtful Sound, then a private lake house in Fiordland becomes base camp for jet boats and Great Walks. The final chapters belong to the parents: stargazing in the Mackenzie Basin, then a six-suite retreat on the Tasman coast.
