The park lies alongside local communities with deep spiritual ties to the land and river—traditions shaped by the Zambezi’s natural resources and wildlife.
Lower Zambezi is packed with big game—elephant and buffalo swim between river islands, while elusive leopards disappear into the miombo’s towering trees.
