Ranch & Estancia

Off the Grid in Untamed Patagonia at Estancia Cristina

Nestled into a staggering expanse of lightlytouched nature, this remote outpost is a truewalk on the wild side.

Why it's unique

More than 100 years old, this ranch-style lodge will immerse you in the natural wonders and cowboy ways of this part of Argentinian Patagonia.

Estancia Cristina, which dates back to 1914, sits on the coast of Lake Argentino. It’s accessible only by boat, making it a peaceful escape from the outside world, and it embraces this isolation. The lodge has a traditional homestead spirit and warm feeling that only a 100- year-old estancia can convey — after galloping through the Río Caterina Valley by horse, sip Argentinian wine and enjoy homemade cooking over an open fire.
