I grew up in Africa in the 70s and bore witness to the Hippy Revolution that swept the planet. My Dad had massive lamb chops and for a military man wore his hair longer than I had ever seen it. My mom, a gorgeous redhead, rocked high-waisted yellow bell bottom pants, creative, hilarious, and the ultimate entertainer.

They threw fabulous "adult only" costume parties, but kids were allowed. We were sequestered away and when we could we would sneak a peek, and watch in a state of both awe and embarrassment at the antics of our parents. I knew right there and then - these were my people, their love, laughter, and camaraderie, was something I adored. Today those people are still my oldest and dearest friends, and as my life has taken me for a spin around the globe I have continued to find more of my tribe.
From India to Kenya, Australia to Ecuador, New Zealand, and Fiji to Peru, no matter what the distance, ethnicity, cultural or spiritual background - our shared values for a deeper spiritual and cultural connection, means a community built offering a deeper resonance to our earthly experiences.
