Founded by Douglas and Kris Tompkins in the heart of Patagonia’s Aysén Region, the lodge was built using local, recyclable materials and sustainable methods, inspired by iconic national park lodges worldwide. Explora continues the Tompkins Conservation Foundation’s mission, promoting conservation-focused exploration. Its location makes it an ideal base for off-the-beaten-track adventures, offering deep connection to the landscapes.
